We dedicated Lila at church this past Sunday. There was another family, our friends the Trempers, who were also dedicating their son. Our pastor Mike Sanborn did an excellent job with the dedication. We chose life verses for each of our kids and Lila's is 1 Peter 3:4 "You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and queit spirit, which is so precious to God" NLT (Brad's is Prov. 3:5-6 and Sky's is Philippians 4:6-7). Lila slept through the whole thing, Brad whined and cried for a snack the entire time and Sky thought it was a personal photo shoot on stage (see the pictures of her posing for the camera while everyone else is praying). But, it was a very special day for a number of reasons: my dad and his wife Jeanne were able to be there for the dedication and it was so nice to have some family there to support us and celebrate with us. We were able to go out to lunch afterwards and had a nice day together. Also, Lila wore her grandma's (Ken's mom's) christening dress (Sky also wore it for her dedication in Cincinnati). It is quite beautiful. All in all, it was a great day and we are very thankful for our new little blessing. Our house is a total zoo now but it's our zoo.
