This year we had Wonder Woman, Batman, and Cinderella (and Tangled, if you count Sky's American Girl doll) as we went to BIOLA's Halloween celebration, Candyland. Below are some pictures from a church event on Saturday:
Sky decided to be a hula girl for that event and her doll, Sarah, wore a matching outfit.
Lila really didn't enjoy wearing her outfit at all and I joked that she came to events as a streaker because often times that's what she ended up doing.
She did enjoy herself at Candyland though! It's amazing what a difference a year makes! Last year she had just learned to walk and couldn't really handle the crowds so Ken just hung around with her outside. This year, she was right in the thick of it all.
There was a hands-free doughnut eating contest. And, at BIOLA, each dorm door was decorated by the students who live there. There were some very elaborate doors!
Sky wanted me to take a picture of her doll in front of every Tangled-themed door and Brad really liked the Batman doors.
Brad was cracking me up. Many of the students said to him, "I like your costume!" To which he would reply, "I know, isn't it cool?"
Brad wanted to be Batman from the start and I just couldn't justify spending $20 for a costume he'd wear once so I bought these Batman pajamas which he can wear even after Halloween.
Mimi (Ken's mom) bought Sarah's Halloween costume at Build-a Bear when she was here in June!
The students were so great with the kids and the kids got sooooo much candy.
Sky recently spent her allowance money on these clip-on nails (pictured below). I think she realized afterward that it wasn't such a good investment as she couldn't do ANYTHING without them falling off. She did enjoy them though and after they lost their stickiness she said that we should put them in her keepsakes box.
