Teeth Update
Well, we saw the dentist today and he said that the teeth will fall out but that new ones will grow in within 12 months. That doesn't really sound right to me so I think we'll be getting a second opinion. Thanks for your prayers. Sky was very brave and was very glad that nothing painful happened there. I'll keep you posted...

Loose Teeth
Last night as Sky was getting out of her bed after her nap time, she slipped on some papers in her bed and banged her mouth on the rail of her bed. There was a good deal of blood from a cut in the gums and also a great deal of crying. I initially thought the damage was limited to the gums but on further inspection, I noticed that one tooth was moved over a bit. Then I discovered that both top front teeth are loose. Ugh! Our dentist isn't in on Thursdays so we have an appointment for tomorrow at 12:30. Please pray that the teeth can be saved and won't fall out (3-4 years with no front teeth could be very difficult for a "princess"). Also, Sky is very apprehensive about the dentist. I'll keep you updated!

Disney Silliness
Today was not our most successful Disney day but it was still fun. Tonight was Miley Cyrus' sweet 16 birthday party and the tickets were around $250. The park was closing early at 5pm for all of us regular people so our day was shortened and the place was pretty much mobbed with preteen girls. Many of the usual attractions were closed due to set up for the party tonight. But we still managed to ride the momorail and the Disney train and look around in the Disney shops. We had fun trying on some hats in one of the shops. Sky saw the princess shop for the first time today. We've been avoiding that one! Whenever she asks for us to buy her something and we say maybe another time, she's says, "Ok, but while I'm still 4." Then we looked around the shops in Downtown Disney. Sky tried on makeup at the store Sephora. She loved that!
Day at the Park
On Saturday, Neff Park hosted a Day at the Park where there were all sorts of pioneer activities and fun. The park is home to the Neff Estate, a house from the late 1800's (which is a big deal around here). Just Sky and I went as Ken stayed home while Brad took his nap. It was "raining" (there was a slight drizzle) so it wasn't crowded at all and we were able to do virtually everything. Some of our highlights were the old cars, the playground, a bee keeper who showed us his bees and let us sample the honey, free pony rides (Sky rode the largest pony, one with green glitter in its tail), and free games with candy prizes. It was definitely a sugar day because we left the park and went to the birthday party where we had lollipops, cake and ice cream. We'll have to detox tomorrow for sure.
Under the Sea Birthday Party
Today we celebrated one of Sky's favorite friends, Kaylin's 5th birthday at an under the sea birthday party. It was so much fun! The cake was amazing and there was face painting, an under the sea treasure hunt, a crab craft, and many more fun activities. Amy, Kaylin's mom, did an amazing job on everything. The kids had a blast! The first picture shows the birthday girl with her little brother, Trevor. Too cute!

Feeding the horses
Well, believe it or not, people actually own horses around here. It's not quite as country as parts of Ohio were but somehow those who want to own horses manage. Yesterday we went with the MOMS Club to some stables to feed the horses carrots. Most of the horses were wearing masks to protect them from the flies. Apparently flies lay their eggs in the horses eyes. Yuck! I kept joking with Sky that her shirt made her look like a giant carrot. Anyway, we had fun there and the horses had chomped up all of our carrots in about 15 minutes.
New Baby
Yesterday I finally got a chance to go over and visit my friend Jolene and her new baby, Benjamin. What a sweet little bundle. There was a true knot in the chord when she delivered him so they are very thankful that he is alive and healthy. Apparently the chord was long enough so the knot never tightened. That can be fatal. He was born last Wednesday.
Also last Wednesday my brother Eric and his wife Michelle called me to tell me that they are expecting their first child. I am so happy for them and excited to be an aunt again. They just recently moved to Arkansas and Michelle has started as a pharmacist for Walgreens while Eric works for the VA. Exciting times!
