Moving Day!

It has been an incredibly busy weekend, week, month... We moved into our new house on Friday, thanks to some great help from friends. Ken rented a medium sized truck and our move was so local that we put less than 15 miles on the truck! You can see in the pictures that Sky and Brad enjoyed exploring the truck. We still have lots of little things at the old house but we have until the end of the month to clean it all out. We LOVE our new house and are having so much fun settling in!

The kids have had some adjustments to make. Sky and Brad are used to having their own rooms. Sky is used to sleeping with the lights on and Brad with the lights off so Sky has had to adjust to sleeping without any light. She's doing pretty well. Brad is used to sleeping in a crib and Sky in a toddler bed but now they both have twin beds. The first night we didn't have time to put the rails on Sky's bed and she told us the next morning that she woke up sleeping on the floor. Since we put the rails on she's doing great. Brad didn't stay in his bed at all. We would put him in and he'd be back out the door in a jiffy. So far he has slept all 3 nights in the pack and play after a good deal of crying (which upsets Sky). But he has taken his naps in his big boy bed. We'll see how long this tranisition takes... We're not going back to the crib though because we will soon need that for Lila. Another difficulty is that our house is a corner lot with a 3 way stop sign and it is a bit noisy. Everytime a motorcycle or loud car drives by, Brad wakes up. I'm sure he'll get used to it eventually.

We're looking forward to a visit from our friend Becky from Cincinnati on Thurs. She is an interior designer and offered to come and help us get settled. Yeah!!!! Ken had a great Father's Day today as we went to Lowe's and he went on a bit of a shopping spree, getting a new drill, lawn mower, and hedge trimmer, along with lots of other goodies for the house. We still can't believe how good God has been to us in providing us with a home to buy in southern California! I'll try to post some pics of the house once it is more presentable.

Love the pics!! The kids look adorable! Glad it all worked out w/the move! (Of course, there was no fear that it would rain!)We're so happy that Ken had a great Father's day! (Lots of other dads in Lowe's having fun buying stuff?) Yes, God has blessed you abundantly! You trust & obey & serve Him and His favor continues to be upon you!The new sleeping arrangement is a challenge for all but things will settle down into the new routine hopefully soon. Congratulations, guys!!

Ya! Praise the Lord! You guys are in your new home! Congrats!
We are familiar with the room transition thing. lol Natalie joined Julia about two months ago now. At first Julia was frustrated with Natalie's crying, but they soon settled. Actually, Natalie LOVES LOVES being in the same room with her Julia. :o) And if Nat wakes up in the middle of the night, Julia actually sleeps through Natalies fussing or crying...or even screaming when we put her back to bed. Its amazing what they adjust too. Hopefully Brad will soon be dreaming of motorcycles instead of them waking him up! :o) Hugs to you all. Miss you!!!

Does Sky sleep in the top bunk? My whole life I had wanted bunk beds and one year in college, I had them and slept on the top bunk, and I would fall out all the time! We are so happy for you guys and can't wait to see pics of the new place!
