A few nights ago, when the backyard motion detector went off, we saw this lovely spider web. Upon further inspection, Ken concluded that it was a brown widow web (the spider is in the middle). He sprayed it with his bug killing spray and it is no longer with us. Still creepy though.
The 4th of July is coming. How do we know? One of these fireworks booths is on just about every corner in our town. They open for business one week prior to the 4th. Let the fireworks begin!
You may have heard that we hosted a yard sale for some friends of ours who are trying to raise support to be missionaries in Guam. They are a great family with 2 kids and another on the way. He just graduated from Talbot with 2 masters degrees and she is finishing up hers. People have been donating items all during the month of June, plus they were selling all of their things since they're not bringing much with them. We had a LOT of stuff! They ended up making about $1,600 through the yard sale! This was what our backyard looked like on the night we were sorting through stuff. The pools weren't for sale but were there to keep the kids occupied.
